ORDER: The court has reviewed Keith Raniere's 503 letter objecting to its order regarding an anonymous jury and finds his objections to have merit. There is no "substantial potential threat of corruption to the judicial process" that would require complete anonymity. See United States v. Mostafa, 7 F. Supp. 3d 334, 336 (S.D.N.Y. 2014). Accordingly, the names of prospective and empaneled jurors will be withheld from the public until after the trial, but will be made available to the parties, their attorneys, and their attorneys' staffs and consultants only, and shall not be divulged to any third party until further order of the court. Jurors must be identified only by juror number in open court. The court will restore Questions 16(a), 17(a), 21(a), 29(c), 30(b), and 30(c) to the jury questionnaire in their earlier form. Further, the court ordered that the jury be semi-sequestered during the trial. The court set the following deadlines: April 12, 2019 for the Government to produce all 18 U.S.C. § 3500 materials that are currently in its possession and for Defendants to produce any reciprocal discovery; and April 17, 2019 for the parties to submit any motions in limine or motions under Federal Rules of Evidence 412(b) and 414, and for Defendants to state whether they intend to assert any defense of mental defect, duress, or attorney-client privilege.
